DAVID FOLEY

(Guitar/Electronics)

David has a history of being in the right place at the right time. As a teenager, he was there when the Ventures first played Tokyo in 1965.  He left art school in St. Paul to attend art school in Haight-Ashbury, and then left that to join a commune. Eventually he found his way to New York during the punk/no wave daze, where he pummeled audiences in bands like Elvis Beatle Gods and Heroin Queers with pal Jim Sclavunos.  He hit the ground running in Minneapolis, frequently playing the iconic First Avenue and 7th Street Entry during that venue’s ‘80s/‘90s heyday, opening for the likes of the Contortions, Gang of Four, Jesus & Mary Chain, Killing Joke, Skinny Puppy, and Morris Day and the Time.  David even joined Hüsker Dü on stage during a legendary gig and his infamous band Things That Fall Down recorded an album with Steve Albini.  If you blink, you might miss him in the opening credits of the sitcom Head of the Class.  David is also an accomplished visual artist. He is currently the owner of The Record Spot, Minnesota’s smallest record store.
